St. Clair County Genealogical Society announces NEW Catholic Church Records available to the public on their website! Baptisms, marriages and burials for 8 small Catholic parishes in St. Clair County have been added. CLICK HERE to view the church records on the SCCGS website! Happy 100th ANNIVERSARY to the Illinois State Archives!

the Illinois State Archives  are celebrating their 100 th Anniversary this summer! On June 20 th , 1921, Illinois Governor Len Small signed the legislation that created the Archives. Since then, the Archives have worked tirelessly to preserve Illinois history for future generations. The Illinois State Archives are a priceless resource for genealogists, and many an Illinois family historian has certainly demolished a brick wall by using records made available through the hard work of the Archives. ISGS is proud of our years of partnership with the Archives. Over the years we have assisted in locating, organizing, indexing, and digiting many record sets throughout the state. Please join us in wishing a hearty congratulations to the Illinois State Archives on this milestone anniversary!
