Illinois State Genealogical Society Announces: Call for Proposals for 2018 Fall Conference January 9, 2018 — Springfield, IL: The Illinois State Genealogical Society (ISGS) announces their Call for Proposals for the Fall 2018 Conference to be held October 26 & 27, 2018 at President Abraham Lincoln Springfield – a Doubletree by Hilton in Springfield, Illinois. ISGS will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary and the State’s Bicentennial. The ISGS Conference draws attendees of all experience levels, from the beginner to the professional and the hobbyist from Illinois and the surrounding states. The program committee is seeking new, charismatic and engaging presentations. Topics being considered include: Illinois History, Immigration, Records, and Repositories Brickwall Strategies DNA Ethnic Groups Methodology Organization Problem Solving Technology Criteria for Presentations Presentations will be 60 minutes, which includes 10 minutes reserved for questions
