The March events will include: Adding oral histories to your research Using Wikitree How to conduct remote research at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library How to apply for an ISGS Prairie Pioneer Certificate Follow-Up Fridays: These one-time events involve the attendees reviewing one of the webinars from the ISGS webinar archive, in order to ask questions at an extended Q&A with the presenter! The follow-up events in March will review "Illinois Digital Resources" with Tina Beaird, and "Illinois Servitude and Emancipation Records" with Anita Boyd. Special Interest Groups (SIGs):

Calling all Illinois Genealogical and Historical Societies- ISHRAB 2021 Grant Program!

The Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board (ISHRAB) is pleased to again offer their annual grant opportunity to assist Illinois archival repositories and government agencies with preserving and making accessible records of historical importance. Using funds awarded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), the ISHRAB is offering grants of up to $5,000 to Illinois historical records keepers to develop and/or carry out projects to identify, preserve, access and use historical records in Illinois. All grant projects will run for one year. The 2021 grant application period ends on March 22nd and awards will be announced in early June.
