Upcoming Events from our Member Societies!

Join the North Suburban Genealogical Society THIS Saturday, February 13th at 1:00pm via Zoom, when Becky Lowery will present, "Maps and Land Records in Family History Research."
In genealogy, maps are most often used as clues to where public or other records about an ancestor are likely to be found. New and old maps often reveal changing place names, and they may also show changes in the boundaries of nations and their subdivisions. Learn how to use maps and land records in your genealogy research. This program is co-sponsored with the Glenview Public Library.

Join CAGGNI on Saturday, February 20th at 10:30am via Zoom, when Debra Dudek will present, "WWI Record- Now What?"
Start your journey towards learning more about your family's connection to the war to end all wars. Using a fail-proof method of record gathering, you can begin to construct a large amount of information even if your ancestor's official military records were destroyed in the NRPC fire. With thousands of resources available online, traditional archives and in specialized museums, you'll be on your way to tracing your ancestor's Great War experience quickly and confidently.
