Description: We may even be somewhat astounded to learn that our ancestors even attended school. Locating school records can be an amazing way of putting our families into place, especially when there may be no vital records available in an area.
Presenter: Peggy Clemens Lauritzen, AG
Peggy Clemens Lauritzen, AG, has been involved in family history research all of her life. As a child, she accompanied her parents to courthouses and cemeteries while other children were playing and swimming. All of her grandparents were born in the late 1800's, and she loved listening to their stories of flu epidemics, swinging across "hollers" on grapevines, harnessing up mules, and Kentucky "haints". She and her husband, Kerry, and Family History Center Directors in Mansfield, Ohio.
